Appeal Home Shading is getting ready to showcase some of its newest products and stylish shading solutions at Grand Designs Live at London’s ExCel in May.

Running for nine days, the show offers visitors a unique opportunity to see all the latest trends for the home and numerous products that have never been seen before. Presented by design guru Kevin McCloud, the event will be packed with over 500 exhibitors, across seven different sections.

New for Appeal in 2015 is an updated range of window and door blinds designed to suit the latest trends in windows and doors.

With bi-fold doors becoming increasingly popular in many homes, Appeal’s bespoke roller blinds or Honeycomb Energy Saver blinds for bi-fold and double doors will reduce the sun’s glare from outside and keep rooms cool in the summer months.   In winter they will help reduce heat loss and provide privacy for the darker evenings. The blinds retract discreetly away when not in use to provide a full and unobstructed view.

In addition, Appeal’s Lantern Roof blinds offer a practical and stylish solution, helping to control light, reduce glare and maintain an ambient temperature level. Fully remote controlled, they are perfect for reducing glare on TVs and screens.  Available in blackout fabrics making the blinds ideal for bedrooms and cinema rooms.

Appeal also offer the ClearView pleated blind for gable end windows, an area that has been traditionally difficult to shade. These unique blinds provide an attractive and functional solution to cover large unusually shaped areas of glass. Pleated conservatory blinds retract neatly when not required, leaving an unobstructed view.

Grand Design Show visitors will also be able to see the new Varalux shading blinds, which offer style and ingenuity to provide complete flexibility over light, shade and privacy. Using two different fabrics that rotate on a roller tube, a simple chain control adjusts the shading from translucent to opaque depending on requirements.

Information will also be available on Haus Verandas; a stylish solution for anyone that wants to spend more time outdoors and extend their home into the garden. A Haus Veranda has a glass roof that offers protection whatever the weather. Optional additions, including a side screen to provide shelter from the wind, as well as remote controlled LED lighting and halogen heating, mean you can enjoy your outdoor space late into the evening. For those hot summer days an integral awning will provide shade.  Designed with high quality laminated safety glass and corrosion proof aluminium profiles, the range offers 56 standard colours and a further 150 colour options to suit any surroundings. Haus Exteriors, part of the Appeal Group, will also be showcasing the popular Haus awnings alongside their verandas, another option to help you enjoy outdoor living throughout the spring and summer.

Design lovers will also be able to access ideas and inspiration on popular shading solutions from Appeal’s extensive range of bespoke conservatory blinds and window shutters. Choose from the timeless woven wood style of Original French Pinoleum or innovative Alu-Pleat® and Solar R® pleated and roller blinds, offering unrivalled heat reflection to help keep conservatories cool and comfortable. Or view Appeal’s range of individually handcrafted window shutters. Made to-order in a choice of styles and finishes with colour-matching available, the shutters are a contemporary way of controlling light and privacy, making them the ideal alternative to traditional net curtains or blinds.
