The Appeal Shading Conservatory Blinds Range

Here at Appeal Shading, we’ve made it a point to have a selection of blinds that cater to every home in every environment. The result of our efforts is a complete wide range of conservatory blinds that offer an even wider range of designs and functionality:

In this guide, we talk about all things conservatory blinds and cover everything you need to know when it comes to making your purchase.

Powered Options For Conservatory Blinds

As a company, we’ve made it a point to start where other shading companies finish.

As such, most of our conservatory blinds are compatible with powered options, thanks to our Innovative PowerDrive™ Remote Control Blinds manufactured by Appeal Home Shading.

Our powered blinds offer an unparalleled level of control without the need for poles, strings, or ropes that clutter your home or risk your pets and children. As standard, we 2 main methods of conservatory blind control options:

Wall-Mounted Control Panel
Our powered options have control functions that allow you to assign labels to each blind and control them all simultaneously or individually at your convenience.

Remote Control Options
Much like the wall-mounted panel, our remotes offer the same level of control without being limited to one place.

Original French Pinoleum Blinds

Hand-woven in France before manufacturing, the materials used to build our pinoleum blinds were made with the aesthetic purpose of bringing a natural look to the household as well as providing a clear view of the sky whilst still introducing a level of shading into your home that provides ample temperature & light control.

Despite their all-natural look and finish, our French pinoleum blinds have powered options available.

Honeycomb Blinds

Honeycomb conservatory blinds have a unique cellular structure that holds still air within them.

Providing energy efficiency through temperature control by preventing heat from passing through it, as well as a considerable amount of acoustic dampening properties.

Honeycomb blinds have been proven to reduce heat loss in winter by 46% and in summer, to reduce heat gain by 78%.

In addition to the functionality, they’re also one of our lowest maintenance sets of blinds. Their material is long-lasting, and their hexagonal pleated design will never fold, distort or fan out which takes out the need for constant TLC.

Pleated Conservatory Blinds

In keeping with traditional shading technology, we offer French pleated blinds that keep in style with

Solar R Blinds

With the aesthetic properties of Solar-R blinds, it’s easy to mistake them for a design feature as opposed to a means of temperature control.

The leading selling point of our Solar-R® Blinds is their solar reflection. At up to 74%, they do a better job of reflecting external heat than any other conservatory Roller Blind on the market.

Fabric & Material Options

We’ve made sure that our bespoke blinds are truly “bespoke” to each home and as such, we’ve made sure that each of our products has its own set of fabric & material options as well as colour selections:

Honeycomb Window Blinds

  • 132 honeycomb fabric choices
  • 200+ rail colours

Temperature Control & Energy Efficiency

As we’ve previously mentioned already, Appeal’s shading solutions all have varying degrees of temperature control which differ across the ranges of style and material.

Honeycomb Blinds

Depending on the material can reduce heat loss by 46% in the winter

Solar R blinds

Can deflect up to 74% of solar energy, keeping your house cool in the summer and insulated during the winter, potentially saving up to 18% on energy bills.

Light Control

Much like the different materials having varying levels of efficiency in temperature control, the same can be said for light.

Black Out Blinds

Do not allow any light to pass through the material, casting a shadow over your entire conservatory.

Pinoleum Blinds

Provide ample amount of light to pass through whilst still providing a level of shading to the conservatory. That being said, the amount of light that passes through the hand-woven material is enough to provide a clear view of the skies above you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Clean Conservatory Blinds?

It can be tricky to provide a clear-cut answer on how to clean conservatory blinds as each style and material has unique properties with different maintenance levels. Typically though, a dusting cloth every other month can be enough to maintain their appearance. In the more extreme cases where they end up with a stain, mild to gentle detergent and a damp cloth in slow circular motions is enough to do the trick.

Are Conservatory Blinds Eco-Friendly

Here at Appeal we source our materials as sustainably as possible. For example, our pinoleum could be mass manufactured, but instead we choose to source natural materials that are hand woven in france.

While no company can ever say that they’re 100% carbon neutral, we can say that with the amount of energy, you save every year with energy-saving conservatory blinds, the reduction in power usage is enough to offset and make up for the investing in an installation.

How much money can conservatory blinds save you?

It’s mainly dependent on the material, the materials that build up the Solar R range can deflect solar energy by a factor of up to 74% and it deflects the summer heat away from your home, as well as insulates heat in the winter. On the other hand, Honeycomb blinds do the same, having proven to reduce heat loss in winter by 46% and in summer, to reduce heat gain through warm air by 78%*

The average we’ve taken here at Appeal is that the reduction in energy bills can be as high as 18% pcm.
