Installing new window blinds is a great way to give your home a makeover. Modern blinds have come a long way and are remarkably versatile, not to mention stylish. They can improve thermal efficiency, control light levels and increase the kerb appeal of your property. You can probably tell that we love window blinds at Appeal Shading, and we’re passionate about sharing them with the world.

One of the first steps to getting new window blinds is to book a design consultation. It’ll put you in touch with one of our experts who know window blinds inside and out. But if you decide to book an appointment, what can you expect?

Step One: Booking A Consultation

The first part is booking the consultation. This is relatively straightforward and you can complete it without even leaving the sofa. All you need to do is fill in a request form and submit it, or ring us directly at 0800 975 5757.

Once the request is in, you’ll be in our system and we’ll be in contact via phone or email to arrange a home visit. You’ll be given several dates and times to choose from, including evenings and weekends, so there’s lots of flexibility. We realise that modern life is hectic and you’ll have other commitments, so we’ll work to your schedule.

Step Two: The Home Visit

The next phase is where your window blind project starts coming to life. At the allotted time, a design consultant will visit your home to discuss your ideas. They’ll want to see the room(s) where you want the blinds, take measurements and go through the various options. They’ll bring a few things with them to help inspire you. You’ll be able to look through brochures about our products, as well as check out a few working models. Where relevant, they’ll also bring samples of the fabrics.

We’re very proud of this part of our service and it’s one of the most enjoyable parts of the job. It’s a golden opportunity to sit down and come up with plans with our customers. We’ve spoken with people from all walks of life, and it can be very rewarding to drink cups of tea or coffee while discussing window blinds.

Step Three: Confirmation

The final part is confirmation of the order. Once you’ve come up with a proposed design with your consultant, they’ll either confirm the order there and then, or you’ll get a follow-up call at a later date. We’ve noticed that our customers like to think about their options before committing and that’s perfectly fine. We don’t like placing pressure on anyone and can give you a few days to mull it over.

The consultant will leave you with a no-obligation quote. If you decide to go ahead with your order, you’ll pay a deposit and we’ll arrange a technical survey. This is to confirm all the measurements are accurate and once done, your bespoke blinds will go into production.

When your new blinds have been completed, head office will be in touch once more to arrange an installation date. The whole process doesn’t take long and we try to make it as stress-free as possible.

If you’d like to take the first step on your journey to new window blinds, why not get started now? Book a design consultation and we’ll be in touch very soon. We can’t wait to hear from you.
